Dr Rafael Popper collaborates with universities and academic centres to build futures capability through teaching, programme leadership and research-connected practice. These collaborations strengthen curricula, expand executive education, and connect students and staff to real-world foresight methods and international networks.

At a glance

  • Levels: executive • MSc • PhD • undergraduate
  • Focus: strategic foresight • sustainable innovation • policy and ecosystem resilience

Typical titles
Full Professor • Associate Professor • Visiting Professor • Professor of Practice

What universities can engage Dr Popper for

Executive Education (open enrolment and in-house)

Design and delivery of executive education programmes, masterclasses and cohorts – framework-led, method-disciplined and decision-linked.

  • Best for: business schools • public policy schools • innovation centres • professional academies

MSc Programmes (teaching + course leadership)

Course design, delivery and course directorship/co-directorship across foresight, innovation and strategic management themes.

  • Common contributions: modules • assessment design • capstone supervision • programme positioning and improvement

PhD Programmes (advanced teaching + supervision)

Doctoral teaching and support for research design, foresight methodology, scenario practice and applied futures studies. Supervision and examination roles may be considered where appropriate.

Undergraduate teaching and guest lectures

High-impact lectures, seminars and intensive sessions that build foresight and anticipatory governance skills, strengthening strategic thinking and method selection across disciplines.

Programme and curriculum development

Universities also engage Dr Popper to design and implement new educational offers, including:

  • new modules and course units (learning outcomes, syllabus, assessment)
  • micro-credentials and short courses
  • executive education architectures (tracks, pathways, cohorts)
  • Erasmus+ and internationally funded education initiatives (design and delivery support)

Partnership model (MoU / Strategic Alliance)

Where collaboration is formalised through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) or Strategic Alliance between the university and Futures Capacity Academy, we can move beyond one-off teaching into co-created programmes and shared assets.

What this can include

  • co-designed executive education and micro-credentials
  • joint programmes and cohorts (open enrolment or in-house)
  • co-branded toolkits, playbooks and teaching materials
  • applied foresight labs, student projects and case development
  • guest faculty exchanges and shared international delivery
  • collaborative proposals (e.g., Erasmus+ and other funded calls)

Partner terms
Strategic alliances may include partner rates and co-investment arrangements for developing shared products and services (for example, reduced fees for pilot delivery, agreed in-kind contributions, or staged development linked to adoption and impact).

Next steps

If you are exploring an appointment, course, or partnership model, share:

  • level (executive/MSc/PhD/undergraduate)
  • topic area and preferred format
  • expected teaching load and term dates
  • whether you need programme leadership, supervision, or guest teaching
