Alongside FCA, Dr Rafael Popper holds academic leadership roles, including directing MSc-level teaching in strategic foresight and delivering executive education internationally. This strengthens FCA’s approach through rigorous thinking, current practice, and a strong educational foundation.

FCA is open to establishing Futures Capacity Academy Nodes in selected regions to expand access to high-quality foresight education and capability building – without compromising standards.

We consider partnerships with:

• Higher Education Institutions (HEIs)
• Vocational Education and Training providers (VET)
• Technology Parks and Innovation Hubs
• Public and private Research and Technology Organisations (RTOs)

Nodes are designed to co-host and co-deliver programmes, build local communities of practice, and connect local priorities to FCA frameworks and international networks.

What an FCA Node can do (examples)

• co-host executive education and masterclasses
• support tailored cohorts for government, business or research organisations
• run foresight capability pathways using FCA frameworks (e.g., SMART/SMARTER)
• convene local roundtables, guest lectures and community sessions
• collaborate on funded education and capacity-building initiatives

A strong institutional base, credible delivery capability, alignment with FCA’s values and method discipline, and a commitment to quality and integrity in foresight practice.
